I have a 4600 object distressed file I use once in awhile and running x6 on a new W8 it takes for ever to load and even get (not responding) sometimes up to 5 minutes.
Is there away to convert these objects to maybe 1. Since there not all touching I can not weld them. Or is there something else going on with my computer, I didn't have this issue on W7.

I have a problem with CorelDRAW X6 freezing everytime I attempt to import a CMX file so I figured maybe an update to the patched version of X6.4 would hopefully fix things.
The 1st step is to install the X6.1 update.
All is going well until I get to the screen requiring me to log in to Corel in order to proceed with the update.
Well unfortunately the pseudo-browser window that pops up is broken and the blue "Sign In" button does absolutely nothing when pressed (even with the form filled in). Since I cannot update the software without signing-in I am stuck with a broken CorelDRAW X6.
Please advise. What are my options?

I have two computers now experiencing this problem, when I try to save a CDR I get an error message saying "Disk cannot be accessed" when saving to a network drive. I can save to the local drive without a problem and I can also save it has any other file or as a PDF to the network drive with no problems. One computer just recieved the SP3 Corel upgrade when this problem started. Any ideas on to fix this?

Sure would be nice to be able to select multiple objects that are not clones and resize/scale them but have them stay in the place? i.e. scale from center of each.
example. I have 100 text headings that have all been converted to curves but each are separated as individual headings. The headings need to be 2% smaller. Select all the headings hit the macro first part would name all selected to "whatever" next part of macro would simply loop through the design and find first object named "whatever" then scale it from 100% to 98% then delete the name of the object now find next "whatever" and do the whole process until all "whatever" objects are scaled to 98%.

Purchased a new Dell computer first week of April with Windows 7 Professional operating system (bigger, better and faster). I then installed my Corel DRAW 10 without any problems. The trouble is when I click the 'Image' button I get the drop down menu but when I click the brightness-contrast-intensity to make adjustments for a photo in Corel PHOTO PAINT 10 (as before with old computer and Windows XP) the window to make these adjustments does not open ? When I click the Help menu button I get a window that says 'Failed to launch help' and another window that says:
Why can't I get help from this program?

In previous versions, when you moved an object, right click allowed duplicating it in a desired location, leaving the original where it was. Most importantly, this worked along with the constraint key (SHIFT), allowing you to quickly create vertically or horizontally aligned compositions. I relied on that feature heavily and now it's gone. Is there any way to get it back?
I anticipate replies suggesting the right click drag and context menu copying, but trust me, this is nowhere as usable as the right click copy, because it's slower and it doesn't work with the constraint key. So please, don't bother suggesting it.
Trying to install the CorelDraw X7 trail on my PC running Win8.1 x64 and it hangs on the window saying "Initializing the Setup".
The only thing I can do is close the window and abort the installation.
Any suggestions ?

The figures I copy from CorelDraw into Word are blurry. Here are the steps that I normally do:
I select the figures that I want to export in CorelDraw. I click on Export for Office. Then when the tab opens, I choose Export for Microsoft, Compatibility, Commercial printing.
This saves the files in a PNG format.
I then open the PNG file, and click copy and paste in word. The figure is blurry in PNG format and it's even worse in Word.
Please advise! Am I doing something wrong. I'm new to CorelDraw.
I've been looking for a sequence of steps that would subtract the coloration of the eyeglasses revealing the color of a person's eyes - I think it would have to be several different sequences because there are a number of different coloration's of eyeglasses...

i really want to print some graphics designs. i need an advice on what printer to buy.
although i am not printing for commercial purpose and if i ll be printing for commercial purpose, it will be jst few. so i want the printing to look good to a certain extent. but i dont have large amount of money to use in buying a printer.
thus, i need a cheap printer that could print hand bills, posters, envelopes, business cards and the likes. i dont want it expensive but i want it to be durable and effective.
please folks i need your advice on a good printer that is affordable and can do what i want it to do. thanks in advance!

When you export a file to PDF for prepress the CYMK values do not stay correct. Try a spot color and check values in Corel, export to PDF prepress. Open in Photoshop or Paint and check values. They are no longer correct!! This works fine in X4 and makes X5 pretty useless for commercial printing.

In Illustrator, if I select an object and start scaling it from a side handle (as opposed to corner handle) I can keep that objects proportions constrained while holding shift. This comes in handy when I want to keep an objects horizontal or vertical center point in place while scaling. The transformation docker works but is there a way to do it with the mouse?

Frutiger 45 LT light missing in coreldraw x7 but it is already installed in the system. (PC).
Before it happened to another font and I fix it by deleting a KB**** update in settings and it worked fine, that time I was using Corel X6. Recently I updated X7 the problem starts...
Any idea how to fix. If am not wrong there will couple more fonts will be face the same issue.

i bought a vector image (.eps) on fotolia. it opens fine in illustrator.
when i import it to corel (x7), sveral objects in the image are Bitmap. how come? what converts them to bmp?
in addition. it looks like there's a white outline around many objects. it seems like there's a gap between objects, it looks like a white outline.
i print to pdf and you see the outline (or the gap). it's not just screen display.
why does the eps open fine in AI but not in corel draw?
please please help.
