Isn't there suppose to be an "Overprint Fill" option as well as the "Overprint Outline"?
I seem to have lost the ability to turn off overprint fills. It used to be under edit I believe. I remember some time ago using the alt drag method to eliminate some of the clutter in the drop down menus. Thought I could just throw it back in if I ever found the need for it but looks that that one is gone for good.
Don't tell me to hold F8 at start up!
I'ill find another solution.
I hope all you corel folks get an update in September I gave up on X7 because I could no longer buy X6.
pretty much moved on it seems some are happy but we just couldn't deal with the interface color pallete issues etc.
we just experienced a lot of hangs and crashes we need to make money not trouble shoot. Don't regret buy and try to make it work $300.00 is neither here nor there overall .
The other guys won't update cs6 I'm sure but it is stable we haven't had a file open and crash in two months just making money
Maybe in a couple of years if Corel catches up we'll be back
Please help I bought an unicut 32" vinyl cutter can't fing the right driver and my 2 yearold son lost the dongle for the software I didn't like anyway BUT now I can't use my cutter at all so i need softwear that with communicate with coreldrawx6 and an unicut plotter that is a complete mystery im in a professional crisis cause this problem is CUTTING into my proffits please help
Ok guys i have just bought coreldraw X6 and i am a small vinyl company and i have created a few peaces and every time i try to print then it prints it but its very very small. Not even close to the project size. I am using a Graphtec EC6000-60 and love it but I don't think it is the issue. I can build a job in Graphtec studio and it prints just fine so it has to be something with corel.
Anyone have this issue?
They way X7 performs when selecting over a thousand objects is much more agrivating and poor compared to X4. Open the sample file. select all objects and what the sparkles and the wonder of the multiple refresh and select and refresh about 5 times!
Why does this happen and how can it be fixed?
Ever since I upgraded to X7, when I publish a PDF file from my CorelDraw document, the PDF file is blank. It is completely empty. All the pages show up - they are just empty.
This happens with any type of PDF - for web or for print.
When I try to publish it again and overwrite the old one, it is still blank.
But when I delete the old one and try to publish again, sometimes I get a perfect PDF, other times it is still blank.
I've never had this problem before X7. It is a little irritating when I'm in a hurry and need to send a client a PDF.
Any help on how to fix this would be much appreciated!

What is the difference between
PDF Prepress. Pdf.X1A. PDF X-3? . Under the Colour settings - what is the difference between output colours as cmyk and native?
I find that when I create pdf x1a and pdf prepress cmyk the colours are different from pdf prepress native. My documents are created in cmyk.
I also experienced that greyscale images became quite a bit lighter in X1a native
I do design work for litho printing. I was told by my printshop to use pdf prepress native, and not to embed colour profiles.They say pdf x1a is not a good way of supplying pdf for print. I will supply my printshop pdfs as they request, but the question is when Im sending files to other printers - do I do it the same way? My concern is how do it affect my document if I don't embed colour profiles? Many times I am not in communication with the printers as I supply artwork to clients who then choose to have their artwork printed from their own printing company.
I was also told by two companies not to use any compression, but that results in huge file sizes. The default setting is zip compression, can that create problems at the printing companies that receive the pdf's?

After i correction in one sentence. The sentence type in Arial font. When i correction to start typing. There font use in Arial Black.
If there use Arial font.
More specifically, I can open corel draw, but I can't open a document OR create a new document.
Yes I've tried the F8 reset. Still no good.

This might not be the only software I am having a problem with.
This could sound as stupid question... as I am a long time user... but in CorelDraw x7 I can't create a shortcut for "snap to object" and "snap to guidelines" command. In all previous versions I could find the "snap to object" command in Tools> Customization> Commands and just attach any combination of keys as shortcut to it.
But in X7 I find only "Snap to all", "Snap to none" and "Snap to object..." - that opens another options window - but no direct snap to guidelines/object command.
Am I missing something?... Or is it a bug... Or is there another way to create this two shortcuts? It's a real time saver.

When exporting a design for print to the RIP Station as a tif from X7 all the white areas are printing a light shade of color. When I export from X4 the white areas are ignored whereby laying down no ink as desired. Think I may have covered this question in another post but just thought maybe some newbys would have any suggestions/input.

I am working in CorelDRAWX5 with some very large PSD and TIFF files, some over 50mb each, Corel has locked up and crashed numerous times. I'm afraid this will cause me to lose the work.
Would this be due to CorelX5 or my computer system most likely?

I am just wandering if I need to upgrade my computer or software to limit it locking up and crashing.
I was so hoping that upgrading to a new graphics PC and X7 would fix all of the corel crashes, but it has not. Any ideas on things I could check - I so hate this...
It is on random files too - some large files and some simple files - sometimes when importing .eps files.

WHEN I AM WORKING IN COREL DRAW THE SAVE BUTTON GETS DISABLED AND COREL DRAW WONT LET ME TO CLOSE AS SAME INSTANT IT WILL ALLOW TO DO ALL THE THINGS BUT THE SAVE AND CLOSE. I RECENTLY BUY A NEW VERSION.

I'm a spotty Corel user, trying to get back into it. Using CD11, I have created a black and white graphic image that I'd like to open in my iMac using Photoshop. I select the image and have tried exporting as a TIF, publishing as a PDF, and I'm saving to a USB stick. The files are listed, but when I try to open them in PS, they are blank? I must be doing something wrong here. Maybe I'm screwing up the eject on the Windows machine with Corel? It says save all the files and continue... I've already saved this file so why am I not seeing anything on my iMac screen?
Its probably obvious to a daily windows/corel user... but I'm lost.

Hi All, oh please someone, know hat i mean, and help poor little old me! I installed X7 onto my pc to have a check at it, I still have and use everyday, X6 which I love love love! it is my bread and butter too... OK, so i uninstalled X7 yesterday and BOOM all my thumbnail icons are all scrambled up. XPS thinks its a 'green hot air balloon"... JPGs think they are 'green hot air balloons" too, and all the files that I have worked in or saved as new in the last 24 hours and just a green box thumbnail with the pen at an angle. I can't see what is 'inside' the file. I can still see old files with the little hot air balloon in the right hand bottom corner. its all very complicated. Please may I ask for the genius out there to help me... pretty please... THANK YOU!!! ;-)
