Dropdown boxes opening upwards

I'm having a small problem with CorelDraw X5, maybe someone here can advise me on how to fix it.

When I choose a tool like the brush under artistic media or the objects section of the sprayer, the preview dropdown list doesn't work as it should. Obviously it's called a dropDOWN list, because it drops down, so you can actually see the list and scroll through it. Mine opens upwards for some reason, meaning I can only see the last couple of brushes in the box and obviously I can't scroll normally either, because I can't see the entire scroll bar. The only way I can see the box fully is when I make the window smaller and drag it all the way down on my screen. Only then can I see the full box on my screen. Why is it opening the wrong direction and what can I do to fix it?

 

I have tried resetting to factory defaults using F8, that didn't work.

I can't open or import any of my .CDR files created in X-6

All of a sudden, I can not access any of my CDR files in X-6.  I get the following message whether I am trying to "open" or "import" ... it says:

"Either the image is not importable using the selected filter or this format is not supported"

Can somebody please help me??????

Having trouble saving or doing a "save as"

Having trouble saving over an existing file. I have also tried to do a "save as" using the same file name to replace the old file. When I try to "save as" I get a message telling me that the file has not been saved.

But if I "save as" and change the file name it saves the file.

Any ideas?

X6.4 update Improved Font list...not so improved

Sorry to say but... The old way the font list worked was absolutely great... When I used a font, I could find it directly on the top of the dropdown list! Boy! That was productive! Now when I use a font, the whole family appears as the last used, so it's NOT PRODUCTIVE AT ALL!!!! NOT AT ALL!!! Dows anyone have that issue too? Does it bother anyone? Me, I use it A LOT! I'm gonna have to uninstall the whole darn update just for that simple and very INCREDIBLY ANNOYING improved issue! I'm very disappointed with this change. Can I fix this manually? Thanks for your help!

Call .NET from VBA

Hi,

I've created a custom .NET docker as per this post. The docker contains a lot of different functions, some of which I would like to access from other parts of the application, e.g. keyboard shortcuts, context menus, toolbars, etc.

How can I accomplish this? Is there some way to access the .NET docker from VBA?

Hello, 

I'm learning to draw using corel draw x6 and I found this problem: 

I have a circle (ellipse tool) 

I want to have 3 different colored arcs on this circle, let's say  a black outlined ellipse with one blue arc , other green and other yellow arc on the same circle

How do I import an eps file with a vba macro?

I have tried 
ActiveLayer.Import
But I get an error (import object in IDrawLayer failed)  when I try to import eps files, works great with jpg files.

Custo grid for scale measure?

I am tying to use the custom grid as a scale bar but it I can't seem to make it match the ruler or the guideline preset. These show correctly yet the custom grid, even though set to 0.001 gridlines per millimetre (which I would expect to draw 10cm squares to scale) doesn't seem to match any scale. Zooming in to 200% doesn't double the size for 100%.

 

Have I misunderstood the use of this tool? I want to be able to show a scaled dimension whatever size the printout. A scale bar would work but the grid looked good for this

New Laptop - How Can I Install CorelDRAW X6?

I already installed CorelDRAW on my desktop and old laptop. I am no longer using either and want to install CorelDRAW on my current laptop. However, I get the following error: "You have exceeded the number of computers on which you may install the product.  For assistance, please go to www.corel.com/membersupport." Unfortunately this site provides no information about what I should do.

Table Bug - Please help

For some unknown reason...when I type into a table, some of the text flips and goes outside the table...and I cant for the life of me work out why NOR can it be corrected. Does anyone know what is happening here!

VBA Questions on sizing or powerclip

Wondering if anyone had code or guidance. I to know how to code to change size of a shape while keeping aspect ratio in corel Draw. Or code to fit shape inside a powerclip and fit proportionally would work as well.

I am making a macro to create Mockups for my Shirt designs. i need to copy my image pase onto a new sheet, and i have a powerclip container setup that i want to place image into or just size the design keeping aspect ratio to make the size of the container. I can make change the size using h= & w= but that skews my design... I have the rest of the code written just stuck on the sizing. Any Ideas?

I know it may appear a daft question but does PDF Fusion require Corel or is it a stand alone product? 

and is it like Adobe Acrobat where you can edit any PDFs?

RecentFiles Macro for 64Bit?

I'm sorry I bring this macro up every couple of years but I still use this WoXXom macro on a daily basis so I must ask. Is there a way of making this macro compatible with the 64Bit version of CorelDraw? I tried installing it and I just can't get it to work. I found some helpful hints for updating some of the VBA code but some just didn't work so the macro is dead in the water. I can try to get all of the code errors again but it may take some time to do that. I use it at work on my 32bit machine flawlessly but not on my home pc. Thanks!

TTF Export - first character as .NOTDEF

Hi, people! :) I'm new here and I have a question regarding ttf export.

I already have drawn all the characters and I'm ready to export the whole set. It's usual that "A" character is the first one to be exported, but I've noticed that it then stands as the default character when there's no such character.

I created a doodle to show this situation, I mean, "this character is not available", and I want it to be exported first. Trouble is, I don't know which character (and in which set -Basic Latin, Aditional Latin, Extended Latin 1 or 2, etc.-) should I choose for the doodle to work, becuase when I choose an "empty" character from this sets, there appears a warning: "Windows doesn't admit character's code". It's a loose translation as I'm a Spanish-speaker CDX5 user, but I guess you get the idea. I'm uploading a screen capture of this for you.

EDITED: I just found the right term for this. I want this doodle to work as the .NOTDEF gliph and/or "missing character" gliph. How can I do that?

Last time I made a font, I was using CD9 or lower, I guess; I'm trying to do this again, but I don't remember how I did it that time, a long time ago, or even if CDX5 allows it to be done.
