Color Mask pop up box missing
All of a sudden, when I go to add a color mask, the pop up box is missing. The focus acts like it is there, but there is no pop up menu / dialog box. Has anyone seen this? Environment: Win 7 in a Parallels vm on a Mac with Mavericks 10.9.2

Genuine Oil Painting
Hi Everybody,
The board of directors of the bank commissioned me to paint an oil painting on a wall of the bank. They wanted a beach scene to contrast with all the dismal snow outside.
Just for the record: There are three layers.
1. Bank wall
2. Photo at 90% opacity
3. Section of the wall behind photo in the Hard Light merge mode.
Using Displacement Map made matters worse. I still can't get it to work for me.

Cant find CMYK in print settings
I am using Windows 7, CoralDraw X3, and an Epson 4ink inkjet printer (CMYK).
The Images I have imported have been converted to CMYK, I worked on the file using CMYK color code.
When I go to print in the menu under misc. section there is 'output color bitmaps' above "fountain steps" and the options to select are- RGB and Grayscale.
I need the print in CMYK, any help?
I want to get the best result using CMYK... I cant get the best quality using RGB.
I have tried with printer settings, its at the best at what it can perform.

How to use VSTA App AddIns
Hi,
based on a VB sample app addin project, shipped with CorelCAD 2014 installation, I added trivial function to test VSTA workflow and successfully compiled the code. DLL library got installed in "My Documents\CorelCAD\AppAddins\CorelCADAddIn\CorelCADAddIn.dll" by included WSH script.
However I can't see any pointers that this addin is loaded in CorelCAD.
I noticed that macro functionality is provided by CorelCADMacros C# project, which is accessible from VSTA manager, but I can't see how to use my addin, nor such scenario is mentioned in CorelCAD help file, or indexed by Google.
Can someone provide more info?

changing dimensions inchmm
I have a drawing with dimensions in say inches. I want to have all the dimensions converted to metric. I want to be able to have the same drawing in two versions, one inch and the other mm.
If I pick one dimension I can change from inch to mm in the object properties and that works fine.
If I select multiple dimensions in object manager, I don't have access to the dimension settings in object properties for the selection?
How do I change all the dimensions in the drawing at once from inch to metric without having to do them one by one?
Or, can I make a dimension with say inch above the dimension line and mm below? Then there would only be one drawing.

blurred logo
Hi,
I am trying to convert a simple black and white logo into a PLT format for my engraving machine. When I do, the image appears 'coloured in' (its really difficult to xplain....I want the text to 'stand out' and the background to be transparent.....is this possible?

Another dimensioning question
Sometimes CorelDraw 6 puts the dimension on one side of the line, sometimes on the other, or at least it seems to me. Is there a way to flip the dimension text to the other side of the dimension line?
Also, I know about the force horizontal button which works great but there does not seem to be a correspoding force vertical button which would come in handy sometimes. Have I missed it?

Outline in vector segments
Hi,
I'm trying to convert a bitmap photo to vector.
I do it with Outline Trace/High Quality Image.
It looks great but all the segments have a transparant outline, although the segments themself have no outline assigned to them.
If I want to delete those outlines I need to assign an outline to every segment that has the same colour as the filling, so it becomes invisible. A converted bitmap has a lot of segments, so it will be a lot of work.
Isn't there some other fast way to do this or prevent that all the segments have a thin outline?

Problems with PDF export
hello
I have a problem with exporting a file that I created.
I made a graphic with CMYK colors
When exporting the file is in PDF to JPEG but with CMYK settings, the colors are faded and dull to me.
It is normal?
The color profile used is coated FOGRA27

Corel X5 32 bit - 64 bit
I've been using Corel Suite X5 for a number of years and I'm waiting for Corel X7
In the meantime, Can I run Corel X5 on a 64 bit machine? Or do I need to get another version of X5 for the 64 bit machine?

TechnicalSuite X6 Installation problem on Windows 8.1
Not able to install CorelDraw Technical Suite X6 on a 64-bit machine running Windows 8.1. The installer is stucked on the message: "Initializing setup. Please wait..." the only thing I can do is aborting the installation. Then tried to follow the Corel Support suggestion of closing all other applications, disable antivirus, work off-line, launching installation with admin credentials but... but nothing changes.
Please help.

Creating Layout ready for print for a 38 page magazine
Hello,
I made a post a couple of weeks ago and i had some really brilliant answers which helped me out alot.
Im designing a local 38 A4 page magazine for the surrounding areas. A local publisher wants me to do it and i have accepted but i havnt had much expierience getting print ready for publishing now i havnt met him as of yet and i suppose i need to to discuss how he and his company print and what is his preferneces for this magazine.
Now im ok with laying out and baseline grids, styles etc but how would i create this magazine in corel draw from scratch so that it has 38 pages numbered and is ready to print in that exact order.
Could i use the new feature of creating a right master page and a left master page to start off with? im looking for the best method for this!

Corel Draw X6 keeps freezing and not responding
The program freezes every 5 minutes and does not repsond. I have to wait at least 15 minutes for it to unfreeze and it's very frustrating. I've run antivirus and malware and removed all infected files but corel continues to freeze. Why?!!!! I can't get anything done. Is anyone else experiencing this?
