problem in opening a file

hi dear 

i installed coreldraw x6 about two weeks  to try and i liked it so much

and my windows gone down and when i reinstalled windows and reinstalled coreldraw and tried to open a file was created with coreldraw x6 it give me error and program closed

Text defaulting to arial after backspacing.

we have just upgraded our 5 man shop to X6.

This is happening on all of our setups.

when we are selecting a row of text to edit. if you start typing while the old text is highlighted it will keep the current font and color.

if you select that row and hit backspace to delete a few letters until the text line is empty and begin typing it will default to Arial and make the color black.

I took an amateur look though the settings and i don't see anything that helps.

any help would be greatly appreciated as we do this literally hundreds of times a day and in X5 we had no problems.

computer programs changed to Corel icons and .ink extension

Hi - I need HELP.  Yesterday when I was working with Corel Photo Paint X6 and Corel Draw X5 all of a sudden all my desktop program icons changed to show Corel Draw X6 -- also an .ink extension appeared behind all the program names.  (this also happened in my "all programs"  list.)  Everything I click on takes me to Corel Draw X6.   Anyone have any suggestions for me to get things back to normal???  Thanks.

Document Palette Adding Colors Not In Art

My document palette adds the same colors that are NEVER in my art every time. I swear it's a glitch. The colors are so bizzare. And when I go to delete any of them, it says I can't because they are in use. But they are for sure not being used.

Here's a list of the colors:

Black A0QM, Pantone 142, Black A0QM (1), Black A0QM (2), Black A0QM (3), DIC 2287p* (1), PANTONE 142 (1), Black A0QM (4), PANTONE 142 (2), Black A0QM (5), Black A0QM (6), Black A0QM (7), DIC 2287p* (1) (1), PANTONE 142 (3)

That's the order they are always in. I don't even know where you would get any of those colors and what they would be used for? Except the Pantone of course.

Any ideas anyone???

How do I overlay an object with a pattern but no background color?

I have numerous Hebrew fonts installed in my computer which can be used in all other programs by changing the language icon at the bottom of my screen. How can the same fonts be used in corel draw?

My Macros disappeared

As above I installed -  inner shadow, highlights, random shapes, soft edge last week, the first time I have used macros - I loved them and played around doing different things.

Today when I went to open them all the ones I installed over the last couple of weeks had disappeared!  I have installed them again but wondered if anyones know why or where they would have gone -

EPS export crashes

I was recently given a new CorelDRAW X6 update/service pack within the last month. Since then, when I export a Corel image to EPS, CorelDRAW X6 crashes. Every time! Anyone sharing in the fun. Be sure and SAVE before you export!!!

 

Any ideas anyone?

CanoScan LIDE 110 not working through Twain...work through WIA with less features

Dear all
I recently installed CorelDraw X6.3 on Window 8 Pro....I have CanoScan LIDE 110.  Unfortunately I unable to add it in  Acquire Images....Twain like CanoScan LIDE 25(as per my earlier post)
CanoScan LIDE 110 is working through WIA. Due to that I am unable to use other advance features like multiple image scanning..etc.
CanoScan LIDE 110 which is much higher Scanner than CanoScan LIDE 25.
CanoScan LIDE 110 is absolute compatible with Windows 8 Pro.

It  works CanoScan LIDE 25 & 110 for Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 (64 Bit) as per following command...
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\Optional Plug-Ins\Import-Export\Twain_32.8BA"
Copy it into this directory:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\Locales\en_US\Plug-Ins\Import-Export"

Scanner is perfectly running in same program even This Scanner is automatically detected & installed by Windows 8 Pro...

Drop Shadow changes in PDF file.

In my new computer i have installed windows 7 64 bit and coreldraw x6 64 bit.

but when i export pdf drop shadow changes as shown in image.

problem with pdf 1.4 and above only.

I don't see it anywhere on the site but is there a Volume Licensing Subscription available? I clicked on Buy Subscription on Corel.com but the quantity option is not available. I was only curious if they offered it and how much. Thanks.

Draw feezes upon file open.

Problem:

Draw freezes upon file 'Open'.  Status bar locks indefinitely.

Solution Attemps:

1. PRESSED F8!!!! (ughhhh)

2. deleted all macros

3. rebooted

4. cleaned out temp files

5. checked for bad fonts

Fonts not displaying or working in X3 on Windows 7

There were some patches available at one time but I'm not able to find them anymore. I have recently installed X3 on a W7 machine and have so far found everything to work fine except for an issue of half of my fonts being blank when trying to choose one from the drop down menu. Existing files with these blank fonts also come up with the fonts completely missing as if the entire set of words was deleted.  Here is the list of patches that I've heard is necessary for X3 to be compatible with W7....if anyone can find these, please share!

I too have CorelDraw X3 on a Windows 7 machine, in order to get the best from it you will need to visit Corel's website

and install the following patches Service Packs and patches in this order, re-start after each:
1. CGSX3 Hot Patch1.exe
2. CGSX3SP1.msp
3. CGSX3SP2.msp
4. Font Nav Fix.msp ............. which will fix the problem with the Fonts
and then run the program in Compatibility Mode with Windows XP+SP2

Background in Master Layer won't go to the back

Anyone kindly tell me how to get a background, the same on every page of a booklet, with bleed for printing?  Using Page Layout/Background will only size to the page, no bleed.  There must be a way to have a Master Layer as a static backgound (with bleed) but when I try it always sits on top of every page & I cannot bring the page text to the front.            Help, thanks . . . .

Master Page Layers ordering

Objects on a Master Page layer appear to be in front of all other layers on individual pages.  I have a master layer with standard page background graphics, but on each individual page, I want a graphic on top of this background.

Is there a way to send this layer to be in back of all other layers and still be a Master layer?  The only solution I see is copying this background across 20 pages, which doesn't seem right.  Or change my design around the background, which I'd rather not do.

Bug? CorelDRAW prints inexistent line on JPG borders when I use PowerClip

When I put a jpg (or cpt, png, etc) inside a circle (or whatever) using PowerClip, eventually CorelDraw prints out a thin line in one of the jpg borders. The line is not shown in the "printing visualization" thing. I can work around this issue creating a rectangle the same color as the background and placing it over the "inexistent line". This is not only extremely annoying but also makes me waste resources as I have to print the doc again in order to get rid of the misterious line.

When the line show up seems to be random and not linked to anything in particular, like specifically jpgs or cpts. This doesn't happen everytime, wich makes it difficult to identify wtf may be causing it.

Ok, I didn't actually use PowerClip in that, but it illustrates the point. For some reason the colors f up tho.

It's X5 on a Windows XP computer.

Anyone else had this happen? How can I fix this? Thx!

Corel Draw X5 EPS export file size issue

SO , i have upgraded to X5 from X3 , and now when i Export EPS files, they are MASSIVE, I work in a company that does signs, and car vinyls and other graphics /vector realated work, and It is important that i use EPS as file format for out " plotter" but a size of  800 mb and 2,2 GB now when it used to be 10 mb is insane.

What went wrong in X 5 ? this never happened before, and im very curious if anyone else if having this issue,

I also use POSTSCRIPT 2, as 3, makes the feil over 2 GBs

Please help me as im lost how this can be , i cant use PDF as the plotter only recognize EPS or JPG.

Problem importing pdf file

When I try to import a pdf file that I have scanned with my printer, corel X6 says either "file is corrupt" or  something about not enough memory to perform the action. I have 2 different work stations with 2 separate printers (both the same brand and model) and have tried scanning and importing and get the same message from both now. It always worked before. I can open the pdf document in Adobe and it is fine, so I don't think the file is corrupt, rather it is something in corel that is stopping it from importing. There are no updates outstanding for my computer.

Has anyone experienced this problem?
