As the title says my text is invisible. Sort of. I can see it in workspace with blue outline, but when exporting it is non existent. I pasted the text box from one document to antoher. In another document it's normal. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this
Originally installed 64bit X6 GS. Now to many lockups and errors. What is the easiest way to install the 32bit X6 GS over the 64bit version?
Hi,
A story...
All was going well. My EPS from CDR X7 were going into Word without a fuss. And then, it stopped. Word stopped recognizing EPS as EPS for new EPS -- EPS that had already worked could be reimported, but new EPS was not recognized and the import failed.
After turning off layers, trying WMF preview, and trying Illustrator EPS, none of which worked, I tried PhotoPaint EPS, and that worked.
Confused, one last switch I flipped was to change the Postcript output from CDR from Level 2 to Level 3. And, Word started importing again.
I am unsure what happened, but for you Word 2013 users out there, I recommend trying the PostScript level selection if EPS import fails.
Cheers,
Sean
I am trying to figure out how to find if there are any spot colors in the CDR file using CQL
I am able to find Fountains by during this
ActivePage.Shapes.FindShapes(Query:="@fill.type = 'fountain'")
But how do I write the query to see if there are any spot colors, pantones, cmyk, rgb, lab, etc.
So tried this and it does not work
ActivePage.Shapes.FindShapes(Query:="@colors.find('cmyk')")
Any ideas?
Thanks ,
Tom
Hello everyone,
I am very new to CorelDraw 12. I am trying to duplicate an image of a drawn circle along with the text I have inside that circle, but it only wants to duplicate the circle. How can I get both the text and the image to duplicate together?
Thanks,
natscrafts
Hello~
I'm very frustrated. Draw keeps crashing on me. I'm using X6 with all updates installed. I have a new computer with 8GB RAM and OS Windows 7. I realize that Win 8 is being pushed as the "only valid" operating system. Could my preference for using Windows 7 be the cause of the crashing? Personally, I don't like Window 8 or do I like being forced to use a product I don't care for.
With that said, any suggestions to alleviate my frustration?
Thanks,
Patty
I currently have this macro set up
Sub cropMarks_Vertical()
Dim sr As ShapeRange, sCirc As Shape, sline1 As Shape, sLine2 As Shape, sr2 As New ShapeRange, s As Shape
Dim x#, y#, w#, h#
Dim dCropRadius#
dCropRadius = 0.15
Set sr = ActiveSelectionRange
If sr.Count = 0 Then Exit Sub
ActiveDocument.BeginCommandGroup "CropMarkCustom"
sr.GetBoundingBox x, y, w, h
Set sCirc = ActiveLayer.CreateEllipse2(0, 0, dCropRadius): sr2.Add sCirc
Set sline1 = ActiveLayer.CreateLineSegment(0, 0, dCropRadius * 3.33, 0)
Set sLine2 = ActiveLayer.CreateLineSegment(0, 0, 0, dCropRadius * 3.33)
sline1.AlignToShape cdrAlignHCenter, sCirc: sline1.AlignToShape cdrAlignVCenter, sCirc: sr2.Add sline1
sLine2.AlignToShape cdrAlignHCenter, sCirc: sLine2.AlignToShape cdrAlignVCenter, sCirc: sr2.Add sLine2
Set s = sr2.Group
Set sr2 = New ShapeRange: sr2.Add s
s.AlignToShapeRange cdrAlignHCenter, sr
ActiveDocument.ReferencePoint = cdrCenter
s.SetPositionEx cdrCenter, s.PositionX, y - 0.625 '(.5 + .125 )
Set s = s.Duplicate(0, h + 1.25)
sr2.Add s
Set s = sr2.Group
With s
.Outline.Width = 0.01 'set width here in inches
.Outline.Color.RegistrationAssign
.CreateSelection
.Name = "VERTICAL Crop Marks"
End With
ActiveDocument.EndCommandGroup
End Sub
which gives me this result
I would like this
Is this possible with my current macro? The marks are vertical and are placed .375"away from the art. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
When you export a file to PDF for prepress the CYMK values do not stay correct. Try a spot color and check values in Corel, export to PDF prepress. Open in Photoshop or Paint and check values. They are no longer correct!! This works fine in X4 and makes X5 pretty useless for commercial printing.
I've been running through a few different scenario's and I can change the colour of the handprint from black to most other colours however when it comes to turning it a crisp white I'm failing....inverting it screws up the background colours, magic tool makes it a grey sort of colour...with the various pressure on the handprint theres about 600 different shades of black to change & my end result needs to be an all white handprint showing all details with a different coloured background to really extenuate that...please help!!
merci merci beaucoup.

I have CorelDraw X6 running on a Win7 SP1 system that hangs when saving a file. The file resides on another network system (peer--to-peer). I open the file then open a second file and copy & past a simple text object from file2 into file1. If I then save file1 CorelDraw saves the file but never returns from the save operation. The save icon remains in the status bar and CorelDraw is marked as unresponsive. Even going into the task manager and ending the CorelDRW.exe process does not clear it. It is apparently in some tight little loop somewhere because most other programs also stop functioning. I can start & stop task manager and other programs but attempting to bring up or shut down something like MS Access just hangs in progress.
I don't know if there are other activities that cause this behavior. since it required a reboot between each attempt. The reboot also hangs at the "Logging Off" phase and the computer has to be restarted.
I have 2 other computers on the network configured identically that have no problem with the exact same files/operations.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
CorelCAD 2014
[If I wasn't having video driver issues, I'd post images to help explain]
Let's say I have a huge drawing in model space. In paper space, I have a tab defined to print on 11x17 paper for my printer. I dbl-click within the print viewport to adjust the part of the drawing I wish to print. It looks great. I then rt-click the sheet tab, select print, and select print preview. Here, the preview shows a different part of my drawing than I just selected. It prints the same as the preview.
I close the print window and can still see the sheet tab with what I want. I save. I close CorelCAD. I run again, I open the file again, click the sheet tab and see that now the viewport is showing what the print preview showed a bit ago---not the view I have just saved.
Why is it doing this? How can I fix it?
This program seems so unstable that I have learned to save files every 5 minutes, which could be a pain when working on journals. AND it seems that every time the computer "sits" for a couple of hours or more, you start to work and when you save, boom, "Internal Error" and all the work you did up to that point is lost.
Am I the only one who has seen this? I am on Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit system.
just upgraded to corel x7 and I keep getting this message every time I save manually.
*.cdr was modified by another user since you opened the file. To prevent losing your changes, please save the file with a new name (File>Save As).
I don't want to keep saving files with a different name every time I manually save. Any ideas how to fix? Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
With X6 it seems that if I change a page name the change is automatically saved and there is no undo? Is there any setting so that changing a page name makes the document dirty allowing revert to work? Thanks
Please help! I need to restore the file till Wednesday! My work depends on it. I'm using CorelDraw X3. Through it I can't correctly open my file, I see unknown image instead my graphic.

But I can't succeed draw "hello world" text.
it's the code
(it's not working) app.ActiveLayer.CreateParagraphText(10, 20, 30, 40, "hello world", cdrKorean, cdrCharSetDefault, "Tahoma", 20, cdrUndefined, cdrUndefined, cdrUndefined, cdrLeftAlignment);
Visual studio 2008 told me : "ERROR CS0103 : there is not 'cdrKorean' in current context."
