File naming convention
When saving a file previously done in x6 and making a modification in x7 and saving, the type of file is not updated from x6 to x7 in the folder information.

Macro to replace the font of a text through all pages

very much disturbing and confusing elements
1) Powerclip shivering light tint : As and when the object crosses it flickers, which is horrible in this regard.
2) Finish editing powerclip Command at the center of object : this is really perturbs if you want to select the handle of the selected object... it occupies same as as the handle and finish editing powerclip command. user has to zoom in several times and then select the handle. Why all this ?
3)objects tint ghosting while in powerclip mode, which looses the sense of powerclip by appearing all the content of the outside.
4) If it is in powerclip - no one should does not know as in which mode we are.... early at the right bottom side
there is a button, which shows clearly that we are in powerclip mode, but latest versions does not user has to notice that finish editing powerclip after searching, then only realizes that in powerclip mode.
5) Document palette should only consists of the acutal document colors... not the unused history of colors.
6) When symbol is selected, handles have given a color code to identity that it is a symbol. what about the rest.... Such as powerclip (green), RGB Bitmap (Red), CMYK Bitmap (Cyan).... can be given to identify them easily, despite of moving the cursor to the modes and to identity.
7) Overprint fill, bitmap or outline - why are these ? + Simulate overprint button. All these commands i feel no use. The same can be achieved using the transparency multiply mode. Why mulitply mode only is separated for the commands, fill, outline and bitmap. If user opens the file, without simulate overprints command, he feels that its gray only. If transparency multiply is used then there will be no issue at all.
8) X7 Uniform and Transparency commands are given as buttons, these are really hard to find. They must be given as flyout menu like having captions. One should have to clearly notice the buttons. Please include the flyout caption menu.
9) Color swatches should also have a unique notice, for instance spot colors were given as a small rectangle inside color swatch to notice, such as RGB colors should also been given a unique symbol to identify the color swatch.
10) paragraph red dotted .... given to note that content still exists, There should be a proper warn comes when we printing, saying that there 3 paragraphs are in red dotted, correct.... something like that.

X7 - Bug report: Not stable SPACEBAR shortkey behaviour
Hi!
I found that key SPACEBAR works not correctly sometimes. For example:
- when I switch between zoom & arrow tool after zoom out. Example - "when zoom exxeeded the boundries.... " I press OK to close this warning. And after that I can't to switch to arrow by pressing spacebar. And EVEN after simple zoom in/out spacebar doesn't switch to last tool. sometimes
- other situation. For example it goes when I'm working with Alighnment panel. After pressing some type of alignment I can't: 1 - make Ctrl+Z (to undo) & spacebar doesn't switch to last tool.
There are other cases when spacebar doesn't react but I can't remember all of them. By the way it all happens SOMETIMES. Sometime - it works, sometime - doesn't work. So - it's unstable
Why I wrote about this - cause I didn't feel any discomfort with Spacebar in X6, X5.... But now in X7 it takes attention & make my work not so comfortable & making anoying somtimes.

CorelDraw X7 out of memory when saving a file
Dear all,
I need some advise urgently, cannot save my manual at all. Also unable to proceed with this file any more.
The work is on a manual with 19 pages. I need to add more text and images.
2 popup messages appeared. The first is a message "CorelDraw runs out of memory" .
The second one is as attached.
Anyone has a solution to this? By the way, my HDD have about 200GB free space. System is with 4GB memory. Using Windows 7 Ultimate.

Help with HTML document
Hi,
one of my customers have asked me to design a e-mail signature for him in HTML format.
WE have done this and clicking the links within the document take you to where you need to go.
The problem I have is when I send this via e-mail to the client he cannot see any images or type.
I have checked my sent items and clicked the attachment and this too shows no images or type, but when I click the html on my PC it works perfectly.
Is there something I am missing when converting to HTML and sending it on.
Any help would be appreciated

Why doesn't my X5 palette work with X7??
When I bring up files created with X5 into X7 my colors are not correct. This is extremely important and makes X7 useless to me if I can't get it corrected. I have tried to duplicate the Color Management settings from X5 but it makes no difference. Help!

PDF export is poor quality
I'm doing a book cover where the publisher wants a PDF file. The background is made using a pattern I created and saved as a .pat, and it has fine detail that is pretty much obliterated when rendered as a PDF. Is there a way to get better results?

Imposition layout tool problem
I am having some problems with the Imposition Layout Tool:
Using "tab" to go to the next "page number" does not work.
Only the numpad is working when typing the page numbers
If I turn on the preview function it is no longer possible to type the page numbers as it was in X6.
When adding gutter, the first is added/displayed correctly but the second dispalys the same number but it is not shown in the preview. No matter what I type in the preview is not updated, but when using the spin buttons to the right of the number updates the preview.
I am using X7-64 on Win7. I have tried to reset the workspace with F8. Is someone else having the same problems?

Pantone screens/halftones are not being saved correctly.
I just upgraded to version x7 from x4, as well as upgrading to Windows 7 and have been using CorelDraw for many years. I am a print broker and need to furnish my customers proofs as well as send my printers PDFs to print by. Many of the jobs we do are RGB based, typically assigned PMS numbers. After creating the file, I publish to a PDF for the customer to see and approve. Now, when I publish to a PDF, any of the screens I created from a PMS number comes through as 100% versus the percentage I designed with. My custom color palette I have been using I know is old. So, I set a palette using the Paletter Libraries>Spot>Pantone>Pantone+>solid coated.
I have used nearly every setting possible in the "Publish to PDF" menu but nothing seems to work. So what am I doing wrong? Please help.

PDF settings are slow to change
Anyone have sluggish performance problems changing pdf settings like the COLOR tab and changing the 'Convert spot colors to:' setting? It's extremely slow for me and this sucks.

Cut-lines
I am using X5 for most of my work. It has great features for plotter cutting. I am having an issue with creating a cutting line.
If I just want to cut at the edge (boundry) of my graphic, I go to ARRANGE, SHAPING, and then BOUNDRY. This works great for some things.
Now I want to set a symmetrical cut line to be about 1/4" outside the edge of my graphic. I can't use the 'scaling' feature because it does not symmetrically set the boundry line. This is true of any non-symmetrical graphic.
Can anyone help me?

Setting transparency via VBA

I want to set a part of a picture transparend. The picture is 1280*1024, I want to have the right half solid, then the picture fading out on the left.
When I'm using this code:

the transparency starts at the right corner of the picture and ends on the left
side. I have tried it with different values of StartX/EndX, but didn't saw any
difference in the result.
When I add the following lines:

Str(MasterShape.Transparency.Fountain.EndX)
The message box shows me the start and end of the picture (~1280 and 0) although I changed StartX immediately before.
When I'm modifying the centre of the transparency manually and record a macro during that time, StartX is the changed value.
Now I've moved the same code to X6 and all works fine. Why do I need a new version when only the old is working?

Shape a vertical rectangle into a vase
I need to shape a vertical rectangle into a vase starting with the bottom-corner nodes and moving them up diagonally, slightly until the bottom is more narrow than top, i.e. a vase. When I try this the move does not go up diagonally but turns into a square. ??

dotted line problems
Hi
Can anyone suggest a solution to the following problem:
I want to create a dotted outline around an object, so that kids can trace the image. However, the dotted lines appear uneven. I tried "create boundary" and "contour" - the effect is the same. How can I get the dots evenly spaced?

Realistic Vector Illustration (1st Attempt) - Blend technique
Good day fellow CorelDRAW users!
This is my very first vector illustration of Castiel (Misha Collins) from Supernatural. I have been working with CorelDRAW for just over a year. This is also the very first design I have created X7. I am really struggling with the shading of the face. I have used blends (much like CorelDRAW Master Aleksey Oglushevich), except I need a lot of practice! I have powerclipped everything in to the the main objects. Any advice on how to get the blend colours to work and techniques would be great. I have watched every available video for blending techniques, but if anybody can add anything that would be great. The hair isn't so great either, but after struggling with the face for two full days, I was somewhat drained. I am really nervous as this is my first ‘large’ design, so please be kind (yet honest!). (Also, because I created the illustration in company time, it has to have the name on it, so just excuse that.)
