corrupt Corel X3 install issue
I am installing a new computer to replace my old one. I have installed CorelDraw X3 Graphics Suite on the new computer but when I try and run CorelDraw I get the message:
Registry Corrupt
The UI Language registration list is invalid.
If I try to run the CorelDraw X3 Graphics Suite CD1 and reinstall/modify/fix the problem I get a message that says “There is no language pack available”. I can uninstall the program via Windows XP Add/Remove but installing again just gives me the same error messages. I cannot find any help on this via Google or in Corel’s website.
I have checked the Regional Language Settings in Control Panel and cannot find anything weird or wrong. I have tried a few changes but nothing seemed to help.
Please let me know if you have heard of this issue and how to fix it.I am running Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 on a brand new computer from Dell (Optiplex 745).

Importing X6 presets and workspaces into X7 possible?
Hi.
If I export complete workspace from Coreldraw and CorelPPT X6 to .xslt, I can't import them into X7 counterparts. Is there a solution to transfer my previous workspaces into new suite?

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 installation on Win8 x64 OS - EULA issue
Hello,
From few days I'm struggiling with serious pain in my a.. concerning installation of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 on my Win8 x64 OS. (trial verison downloaded from corel.com site)
I'm unable to finish the installation process because of not being able to accept the EULA terms (ofc after scrolling down the whole agreement).
I tried several solutions found on the Internet as: installing net.Framework 3.5 from control panel, creating whole new administrative account on my laptop or even searching the registry for zero-value entries. And nothing...
Each time I also receive an information about active content which is blocked by the Internet browser. My default is Opera.
Is there any explanation for this sort of software behavior ?

Printing Issues
Hello,
I'm trying to print 11x17 documents and they always come out blown up and gray. I've seen an issue on the support page similar to this where it only prints the top left of the image. The FAQ is specific to HP printing and I'm using a Xerox. In my case, it is only printing the top left but enlarging it quite a bit as well.
I've deleted the printer and all of the driver files and re-added it. I've even tried multiple drivers ( a printer specific driver and a global type print driver). When I do this, it works for a few days, but then reverts back to blowing it up. I have no other issues in any other applications. Perhaps I should note as well that the print preview screen looks correct.
In addition to this, it recently started printing gray rather than black. Any thoughts?

CorelDRAW X7 Saved document size increase
Hope somebody can shed light on this. I've moved from X5 to X7 and have noticed a significant increase in the amount of space that documents take up. A multipage document created in X5 now takes up 10 times the amount of space it did do with no additional objects in it.
For example, I have created a doc in X5 and it takes up 7mb of space. If I open in X7 and save it as an X5 version doc it takes up 7mb but if I save it as an X7 document it takes up a whopping 77mb!!!
Am I missing something? A setting or a check box? Why are the save sizes so large?
It will cause problems when it comes to emailling as some email clients have maximum file sizes and so on, plus not all of us have superfast fibre broadband so using docs with Cloud based services could be painful..
Any ideas or have I overlooked something?

Industrial Digital Printers? ~Advice/Recommendations~
Heya CorelDraw Pals,
(I know this is more CorelDraw forums. But thought i'd see what everyone thought here as well.)
Does anyone have any advice of a selection of digital printer equipment (available in the USA) options for ‘industrial digital printing’? Iv’e screenprinted with NazDar full solvent inks (ADE & 9600 Series) on metals for many years and I’m researching options to upgrade to direct digital printing onto metals. I’d like to have similar adhesion, abrasion/UV resistance & of course water proof inks. Opaque White, Black, Orange & Reds on Black anodized or painted metals. (Full-color would be nice.) The sub straights range from 1”x1”x.080” up to 14”x22”x8”. The quantities can range from 3pc to 60pc per layout. So for the most part, the machine doesn’t have to output 1’000’s at a time. The usage is mainly indoor industrial electronics. But I’d like the inks to last outdoors as well. So we can sell that option as well.
Does anyone have any advice/recommendations for printer supplier/manufacturers/models that I can look into?

CorelX7 Ruler Location
Is there a setting that allows you to switch the vertical ruler location in Coreldraw X7 from one side of the desktop to the other? X6 workspace had it on the left, but X7 has it on the right side of the workspace.

Problem installing X7 Trail on Win8.1 x64
Trying to install the CorelDraw X7 trail on my PC running Win8.1 x64 and it hangs on the window saying "Initializing the Setup".
The only thing I can do is close the window and abort the installation.
Any suggestions ?

Connect only showing 25 images
Hi,
since two month I´m a premium member of CorelDraw.
At the begining I had access to a bunch of images and cliparts toward Connect, but now it shows only 25 images/cliparts...and no possiblity to see more.
As of this I changed in Connet to 200 previews ...but nothing changed...
Is there maintenence on this or am I wrong...I´m a bit confused...

X7 Ideal computer system

Problems after Corel Draw X7 64bit installation
Hello there.
I have noticed a few problems after CDR X7 64bit installation.
First. When i try to open some documents which i previously edited and saved in CDR X7 but created in CDR X6, crashed and now, can't open them. The Program freezes on the open preview.
Second. After the installation when i am trying to make an attachment through Firefox Thunderbird, the program also freezes on the attach preview panel.
Anybody experienced something similar?
I am working on Windows 7, 64bit with all updates.
Thunderbird version is 24.4.0

CorelDraw X7 not displayer properly in fullscreen mode (Windows 7 64bit)
The problem is i using vertical task bar. When i go fullscreen mode the CorelDraw X7 screen is shift right with space on the left. I use Windows 7 64bit system.
Screenshot after start program. This can fix by minimize program window once. but it would be good if program start correctly.

customized items inflexibility
Hi
What's happened with the customization in X7? In the past I've placed individual customized icons and captions where ever I've wanted to - anywhere on the workspace by dragging them by the 'grab bars' .
In X7 icons I create from the easy launcher or from the Options/Customization fly off to this or that toolbar and I can't move them. I've unlocked the toolbars and can't even find the tool icon grab bars. I don't seem to able to move 'new toolbars' either.
I've long moved the icons around (often right up to the drawing board) to suit a particular work flow.
I can see the real advantage of the easy launcher but really hope it not at the cost of flexibility elsewhere.

Idea for Macro or possibly a new feature.
So I'm guessing a lot of businesses in the creative industry create time sheets right? In order for us to track our jobs so that we know how much to charge and whether we are profiting on jobs we now have a piece of paper where we right down the job name, job type, and how much time we spent on that job, For me I track how much time I spend on a design. But it's difficult at times.
I could do a stop watch/clock situation, because often times I'll be drawing something, then a client comes in and I have to stop what I'm doing to talk with them, the go back to the design. So some times it's a guesstimate as to how much actual time I spend.
My idea is this: You open CorelDRAW, somewhere on the screen is a timer. The minute you start the job or file, the timer starts, then if you stop moving the mouse or keyboard for more than a minute (or a custom length of time) the counter stops. Then that time is embedded in that file and stays with it as a record for how much time you actually spend using the program to work on that design. If you get up to talk to a client or go to the restroom or whatever, the timer stops when it detects that you are no longer using the program.
So my question is this. Does something like this already exist, and if not could a macro be made to do this? I have little experience with macros.

X6 64-bit scanning
Did Corel ever fix the scanning issue with the 64-bit version of CarolDRAW X6? I see all these older threads on Google that the issue was fixed in version X6.1. I'm updated all the way up thru X6.4 and still no scanning ability. Even softbotz.com which sells the WIA scanning macro says the problem was fixed in CorelDraw X6.1.
If it hasn't been fixed in X6, how about X7?
I'm using a Canon MP990 mf printer as my scanner and have down loaded its latest drivers.
What's the deal?

Layers in X7
Has X7 given us back the option to use non-flexible X3 and earlier style layers? Or is a macro (like this one http://macromonster.com/index.php?mod=descr&id_desc=56 ) still needed to work around the problem?

is it possible to assign a color to be "by layer"
in the CAD world it is possible to assign entities to be the same color as the layer that they are on. Is this possible in CorelDRAW so that if an entity is on a particular layer it will take on that color? further if I change the color of the layer this will update the color of the entity.

Copy from Word 2013 and Past to CorelDraw X3
I am trying to copy a file from Word 2013 to CorelDraw X3. The first page works fine, formatted correctly etc. Can't view the second page, when I copy only the second page I loses the formatting. One suggestion was to print the Word file to print to file, and convert it to curves, but can't make that work. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks
