PDF Import

I created a PDF from a word document. I then converted all the fonts to curves in the PDF. When I imported the PDF into Corel all the fonts except the bullets imported fine. The showed as nothing. I then viewed the file as a wireframe and everyplace there was a bullet, the outline showed as a square. Any help would be great.
