sRGB Images darken a little when Color Management is set to sRGB

I'm just getting to grips with Color Management (X4).

When set to 'Optimized for Web', my sRGB Images look the same as, say in a PDF document that I open for comparison. But when I enable the arrow linking the Color Management Engine (the Icon in the middle which is set to Internal RGB - sRGB) to the Monitor Icon, the Image colours become a little darker. I've tried lots of images and it's the same with them all.

My monitor is calibrated using Pantone Huey Pro, so I've just left the Monitor Icon at 'Generic Profile', since the Huey Pro profile is active.

It's not a problem for Web work, since I can turn off that arrow and work for the web, but if I'm to print anything, then I have to turn on Color Management for sRGB and things start to look different.

I would have thought there should be no change at all.

Any suggestions welcome,

Seamus
