Changing length of a rectangle in a stack of objects

Howdy gang, I am trying to create a peace sign in CDX6, but I cannot change the lengths of the two angled members, as they seem to be selected in some special mode. I am sure that this is a quick fix (and I have a CD Book coming today) and obvious, but if you have time could someone take a look and point me in the right direction? TIA!
