Upgrading from X3 to X6? Possible or screwed?

So I screwed up and did not upgrade from my current X3;and now I have to buy the full X6?

Yikes! I have used CD almost everyday since about 1995. And, currently use Video Studio, Paint Shop Pro, After Shot [which I love!] and now I need to pay full boat. 

Any ideas about an outside of Corel online purchase deal. I want to also see if the new Website Creator can replace the 1/2 dozen websites that I STILL support in FrontPage. Yeah, yeah, I know....old. But works...sorta fairly OK. 

Or, is it a cheaper strategy to buy X4 someplace and then upgrade that to X6.
