Joomula 2.5 Gantery
I am Doing a web site and want to change the background photo
when I down load it measure 4240 by 1648 the quality is very very good in
the original. But the replacement photo is not up to par. I'm 70 and on a
limited income so I need to find out what size in pixil I should purchase.

1. I was some what successful in up loading and replacing a background photo in this template using the FTP and renaming the pattern_1.png Background with a replace photo. I original down loaded the pattern-1_pattern.png football background It measured 4240 px X 1648 px. But the quality was poor. I adjusted the overall size and did not cover the total background area at one point the background turned all black. I assume that was because I had reduced the background area to small ? Can you suggest and compatible size in pixel To do the job, And perhaps the size of the photo to start with . Can you only use a ping exertion what about a jpeg.
2. I also notice in the template demo That some area are transparent can that be set in the template or in a module, or can the white background be made lighter or transparent. or is a css setting
Any way you can help will be a big plus
