when trying to open the 64 bit version of corel draw x6 on windows 7 64 bit for a user i get an error
"the application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click ok to close the application."
Tried to update it with the patch and hotfix but is unable to since it doesn't recognize that it's been activated. the 32 bit version opens fine but the 64 bit version is needed since the user requires it.

I am Using CorelDraw X6 64 Now a days very slow Open New Document, Cut,Copy & Save too slow ( very small size 
file also take minimum 12 second for only copy ) normally within second 1 or 2 will copy only happen coreldraw Dell optiplex 9020 i7 Procc 8GB ram
Has anyone experienced this scenario? Client: "I'm sending you the file to print" Me: "What size should it be?" Client: "It's already sized"
So I import the file to corel and just to be sure send the client a proof with the dimensions and cost based on the size.
A rather large pdf file imports to corel X4 at 48" x 48". Turns out that it's just a raster image at 300 dpi. So I base my pricing on those dimensions. Client agrees with the price but then discovers that the file was suppose to be 8ft x 8ft. If I open the file in photoshop which is usually not my first choice, it does in fact come in at 8ft. Not sure why corel X4 only imports at 4ft. I'm guessing a file size limitation. Client doesn't understand that the pricing will now be adjusted accordingly. Insists that they gave us the file at size.
I don't understand why designers think that their files are automatically to size. I get this all the time but it's usually with jpg's. I say you should always include specific dimensions to your print service.

I export from Corel to AI (Illustrator 5) or EPS for my editor to insert book images. After updating to X7 I noticed that when working on X6 files the display of fountain fills in X7 is fine. However when exporting to Ai some of the fills are badly pixelated. I then tried building a new fill from scratch in X7 with even worse results when exported. Does anyone know what causes this and if there is a fix? The sample below is a simple 3 colour fountain fill of 256 steps (locked).

I am having troubles that when I publish to PDF, in the student version, it only publishes the current page that I am on and does not publish the whole entire document that has more than one page.

I have made a stained glass pattern in CD and would like to send the file to my vinyl cutter to cut the templates piece for the glass. The lines on the pattern represent lead lines and the thickness of the heart of the lead is about .045mm. How can I get the vinyl cutter to offset on each side of the line to allow for that channel? I bought Paint Shop Pro X6 earlier this year. I downloaded it online, got all my information through email. I failed to register the program and ended up having to do a complete computer restore and lost the information because of a virus. Is there any way I can find out what my serial # is so I can go back and re download the program and register it? The register products I have are back in 2008 & 2009. I tried doing the comuster service help but you had to have the serial #, didn't have it. Hoping I can get help with this matter. I have learned a lesson, register product as soon as you buy it, just hope it's not a costly one. Don't want to buy it again.

Crashes often. I can't open or import .eps files. Opening images for import will cause it to crash. I have the 64bit version. Does Corel plan on making some updates for this version of software? If they don't hurry I'll have to switch to InkScape. Yes thats a free program and I paid for my CorelDraw which I'd love to keep but the stability is making me not to even want to open the software!
I recently re-created a design based on a scan of what looked like an Excel spreadsheet. I used a table to do this and discovered that when you do you cannot print anything else in the faile that is on the same layer without corel wanting to include the table. Even if I choose "print selected only". I actually had to move the table to it's own layer and turn off print in order to print the other items I needed. I could also copy & paste the items to a new page and print but that's a pia.
Any insight on the matter?

This has been going on since the new powerclip controls were introduced.
Select your artwork hit Shift+F2 then try to access the Powerclip Controls, it can't be done.
You have to move the image up to get at them.
Solution put the controls just inside of the PC container.
Not a biggie but annoying.

My daughters laptop does not have a disk drive. Can she download the trial versions and use the educational serial? Or do I have to buy her a portable bluray player drive?

I cannot find a helpful explanation of how one uses keywords in Coreldraw X7.
I have entered a keyword into one of my diagrams. When I try to search for it with File/Search Content, nothing comes up.
Can someone explain how to use keywords with CDX7?
More generally, is CD's keyword feature stable? Is it worth investing a lot of time to enter keywords, or is it a flacky feature?

Purchased the X6 download through Corel website and I am trying to install cutting master add on for corel. When you run cutting master from with in CorelDraw I am getting missing VBA error. Any ideas? Thanks
Hi folks, been using x6 for a while and find it very frustrating with the slow paragraph text refresh. Makes editing text documents a complete pain.
